KidsCan believes that education is a child’s ticket out of poverty, and gives them the opportunity for a better future. We help the 1 in 5 Kiwi kids experiencing hardship by providing food, jackets, shoes and health products to schools and early childhood centres across New Zealand.
Helping to make this possible is our business community: our Principal Partner Meridian Energy, Major Partners, Associate Partners and Business Supporters. The financial and in-kind support of our business community enables us reach more children - together we help over 200,000 Kiwi kids participate in learning each year.

Our KidsCan partners are truly invested in the education, health and wellbeing of Kiwi kids to help break the cycle of poverty. They work with us to help children in need, and create meaningful, measurable differences for their teams, customers and community. Their support includes financial and in-kind donations, plus volunteering their time and resources.
Our KidsCan business supporters are usually small to medium businesses who want to make a difference to their communities. They do this by giving an annual donation of $5,000 or more, or by supporting 15 or more Kiwi kids through our monthly giving programme.

As a Major Partner, you'll have access to KidsCan's volunteering programme, campaign association, reporting and accountability of funding.
As an Associate Partner, you'll receive campaign association, regular reporting and accountability of funding. We love to work with our Associate Partners on fun partner fundraising campaigns.
Our Business Supporters are usually individuals, or small to medium sized businesses wanting to give back to their local community. They receive regular reporting and accountability of funding.
Meridian has been putting their energy into reaching Kiwi kids in hardship since 2013. After staff volunteered at a local Wellington primary school breakfast club and saw the real need in the community, they wanted to help even more children. Meridian is one of the leading power companies in New Zealand, generating power from only 100% renewable sources. They are committed to doing good things with their energy.
They have partnered with KidsCan to provide thousands of Kiwi kids with the basics they need to remove barriers to learning because they, like us, believe every child deserves a decent start in life and the same opportunity to learn as anyone else.
“We feel privileged to be part of making a difference in the lives of Kiwi kids living in hardship” - Meridian CEO Neal Barclay. Visit Meridian’s website for more information on how they support KidsCan.
